Oak Glen Reserve is the culmination of a dream the McKinleys have had since Tom and Janet moved to California in 1977. Nestled in the valley of the Sonoma Mountain, the property is named for its rugged rolling hills that are dotted with live oak groves. This region is blessed with cool winds and oceanic fog that are ideal conditions to cultivate exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon.
Our winery aims to make artisanal and sustainable wines to be shared with friends and family.

The McKinleys
PROPRIETORS
Tom got his wine education splitting time between California and France. After 40 years in the healthcare venture capital space, he has brought his expertise in growing and scaling companies to wine. He and his wife, Janet, found a property they loved and started planting over 10 years ago where they have enjoyed developing their own wine as a couple. They are focused on sustainable practices, and wines full of flavor and authenticity. You can often find Tom and Janet in the vineyards, teaching their five grandkids about nature and grapes (the wine lessons will come when the kids are 21).
Chris Bowland
VINEYARD MANAGER
Chris is the founder of Bowland Vineyard Management, where he manages all acres of our vineyards, as well as vineyards for William Selyem and other notable wineries throughout the Russian River and Bennett Valley. Chris has degrees in viticulture and agribusiness management. He is passionate about grape growing in Sonoma County and farming in a sustainable manner. If you can’t find him tending to the needs of the vineyards, he will likely be in his garden or fishing on a friend’s pond or the Russian River.
